CENTRAL ASIA CAN BECOME BRIDGE BETWEEN EUROPE AND ASIA, SAMAD SEYIDOV

The Central Asia can become a bridge between Europe and Asia, Samad Seyidov, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Council of Europe Parliament Assembly (PACE) said during discussions on situation in Central Asian countries at the PACE winter session.

Mr. Seyidov noted Kazakhstan, one of the Central Asian nations, has become economically developed country. He added that European countries are interested in establishing economic relations with this country.

Azerbaijani parliamentarian pointed out that his country has friendship ties with Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, which has strong economic potential.

He said Azerbaijan supports Kazakhstan’s bid for the membership or observation status in the Council of Europe.

Kazakhstan needs Europe as much as Europe needs Kazakhstan, Mr. Seyidov underscored.
