CIS COUNCIL OF HEADS OF GOVERNMENT MEETS IN ASTANA
Minsk, May 14 (AZERTAC) - On May 22, the CIS Council of the Heads of Government will gather in Astana.
The meeting will consider 18 documents including the prospects of humanitarian cooperation, CIS Executive Committee`s press service said.
Parties are expected to approve the plan of the priority measures of the humanitarian cooperation of the CIS member countries for 2009-2011S. The document is aimed at strengthening the humanitarian cooperation, developing the integration processes in the Commonwealth. As stated, the document contains a number of important joint measures in the field of culture, education, science, mass communications, sports and tourism. Some measures are dedicated to the youth policy as the year of 2009 has been announced as the year of youth in the Commonwealth.
In line with the plan, the CIS countries are expected to produce TV programs dedicated to the cooperation in literature, science, innovations, holding the television conferences and book fairs.
The CIS Council of the Heads of Government will also consider the plan of the measures dealing with the development of educational area for the period till 2010.
The Council will adopt a number of decisions concerning the development of the legal groundwork for education in Commonwealth, as well as financial, personnel and organizational questions.
