CONFERENCE ON 100TH BIRTHDAY OF DENG XIAOPING HELD
The event organized by the University, Embassy of Chinese and Union of Economists of Azerbaijan was attended by renowned scholars and specialists in the matter.
Tefekkur Rector, Prof. Mushfig Atakishiyev dwelt on the unique services of the wise son of Azerbaijani people, outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev in developing ties between the People’s Republic of China and Azerbaijan and noted that President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues Heydar Aliyev’s political course.
Deputy Minister of Education Elmar Gasimov stressed accomplishments of China, which is one of the biggest countries in the world and Deng Xiaoping’s historical role in achieving these successes.
He noted that after President Heydar Aliyev’s visit to China in 1994 good relations between the countries had been further developed.
Deputy minister reported on the results of bilateral cooperation on education.
China’s ambassador to Baku Zhang Xiyun emphasized the historical services of outstanding political figure Deng Xiaoping. Ambassador expressed his confidence in further development of friendly ties between the countries.
Then, chairman of the Milli Majlis permanent commission for economic policy Sattar Safarov, chairman of the Union of Economists academician Ziyad Samadzadeh, pro-rector of the State Oil Academy, Prof. Imran Jafarzadeh delivered reports on “ Problem of Free Trade Zones in Deng Xiaoping’s economic doctrine”, “Deng Xiaoping’s Phenomenon in Contemporary World Economy”, “New Strategic Priorities in Statebuilding Doctrine of Deng Xiaoping”
Rapporteurs told of the invaluable contribution made by Deng Xiaoping in the economical science, development of Chinese economy.
