The conference on the topic “National and Religious Conformity” initiated by the chair of theology of the Georgian Technical University has been kicked off in Tbilisi, Georgia, AzerTAj correspondent reports. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Catholicos-patriarch of Georgia Ilia II told of the purposes of the conference and conditions created for religious tolerance and religious freedom of ethnic minorities. During the six-day conference, students and teachers of the Technical University and other higher education institutions as well as religious figures will hear about 80 reports.
