Deputy tax minister of Azerbaijan attends ECO`s Tehran meeting
Tehran, January 15 (AZERTAC). The first meeting of heads of tax administrations of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states has kicked off yesterday in Iran’s capital of Tehran. Azerbaijan is being represented in the event by deputy tax minister Sahib Alakbarov.
Addressing the event, Alakbarov raised awareness of participants about great accomplishments achieved by Azerbaijan in the tax system. He said Azerbaijan had created an “excellent” legal base for accurate execution mechanisms in this area.
The deputy minister also briefed on results and prospects of tax reforms implemented in Azerbaijan.
Touching upon international ties of his ministry, Alakbarov said “Azerbaijan is interested in establishing bilateral and multilateral relations with tax administrations of all countries.”
He also said that the meeting`s final document, which had been developed by experts, would ensure great opportunities for further cooperation between tax systems of ECO member-countries.
The meeting will culminate on January 15.
