DRILLING MODULE FOR WEST AZERI FIELD PLATFORM DELIVERED TO BAKU

6 basic drilling modules for producing, drilling and living quarter platform at the “West Azeri” field have been delivered to Baku, AzerTAj correspondent has learnt from Azerbaijan International Operating company. All the modules had been manufactured in Netherlands by AIOC subcontractor - Merkon.. Total capacity of the modules, including drilling rig makes up 4 thousand 500 tons.

The modules will be assembled in Baku deep-water base plant maned after Heydar Aliyev and take field trials by MCDermott with AIOC project group in 13 months.

After complete assemblage, the modules will be consisted of 3 main parts: auxiliary drilling module, drilling equipment set and oil derrick. 48 wells will be drilled from the platform during West Azeri field’s development.
