Washington, February 27 (AZERTAC). Mexican “El Financiero” newspaper published an article entitled “Azerbaijanis remember horrors of Khojaly tragedy” in its February 26 edition.

The article says: “On the night of February 25 of 1992 the Armenian armed forces and ex-Soviet 366 regiment have killed hundreds of Azerbaijanis committing the most horrific crime against the humanity”.

In the article, El Financiero cited the French journalist Jean-Yves Junet, who said “I had heard a lot about wars, about the cruelly of the fascists, but the Armenians were worse, killing five and six-year-old children, killing innocent civilians”.

The article also says: “No one could escape that night from the Khojaly city of Azerbaijan`s Nagorno-Karabakh region. While trying to escape, most of them have been exposed to horrific tortures by Armenian militants. As a result, 613 people were killed, 8 families completely slaughtered, 1275 people were captivated and 155 people are still missing. Such unprecedented terrible ethnic cleansing and destructions were main tactics of Armenian armed forces in the war against Azerbaijan”.
