ELECTORS TAKE VOTING SERIOUSLY
Baku, 18 March (AZERTAC). Deputy of the French Parliament, member of Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe delegation Thierry Mariani, who has come to observe the 18 March referendum to make amendments in the constitution of Azerbaijan, considers that the electors took the voting seriously. He said: “We watched the process of voting in many stations in Baku, in particular, in the constituencies where the IDPs live. Our opinion, to say, coincides with the opinion of other international observers. Our opinion is that voting was normal and the electors took seriously the process and they are well aware of the questions on the ballot sheets.
Expressing his attitude in regard with conducting referendum as a whole, Mr. Thierry Mariani said: “The wish to receive vote of the people, its advice in any important question is the best way. I, therefore, positively estimate the conducting of referendum.”
