Euronews features Gabala Music Festival
Baku, July 14 (AZERTAC). Euronews has broadcast video on the Gabala International Music Festival.
The video says: “The festival covers both classical and folk music. The Russian State Symphony Orchestra will be resident during the festival.”
“Gabala International Music Festival is an annual festival of classical music held every summer beginning in 2009 in Gabala, Azerbaijan. The festival is organised with the support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation at the initiative of the rector of the Baku Academy of Music Farhad Badalbeyli and conductor Dmitri Yablonski. At this festival, musicians perform in the open air.”
“Participants have included musicians from Europe, the US and Israel, as well as musicians from republics of the former USSR.
Gabala is a unique corner of the world. This is when the meat was matured in mint leaves in between the mountain stones, and has a very special way to cook in the fire,” the video says.
“Situated at the edge of the Caucasus mountains` tree-covered foothills, the Gabala International Music Festival has been running for four years.”
“The festival provides free open air concerts in the Azerbaijani countryside, reaching many locals who would otherwise never see a classical music performance.
This is a real tourist and recreational complexes c dozens of cottages, several restaurants and other entertainment facilities,” the video notes.
