Gender Academy project implemented

Baku, June 23 (AZERTAC). A project of Gender Academy was implemented in Azerbaijan on June 2-12 within the cooperation between Public Unions “Young Leaders Education-Training and Development” and “Bridge to the Future”. The project was financed by the US embassy to Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State Economic University, the aim of the project was to increase gender equality and improve women`s situation in the society.

The project started with trainings in Oghuz region. 12 active trainees, including the teacher of the University Jamala Khankishiyeva were chosen to attend meetings in Warsaw, Poland.

They held in Warsaw meetings with representatives of the Polish Parliament, Presidential Administration, city mayor`s office, as well as heads of NGOs and political figures.

They also met with businesswomen.
