Baku, May 20 (AZERTAC). Head of the Caucasus Muslms Clerical Office Sheikulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade has today left for Iraq.

During the visit, Allahshukur Pashazade will meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

They will discuss prospects for Azerbaijan-Iraq relations, as well as issues related to restoration of pilgrimages to the existing sanctuaries in the territory of Iraq.

On May 23, the Head of the Caucasus Muslims Clerical Office will visit Saudi Arabia to attend the 8th conference of the meetings of Ministers of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

The conference will focus on promoting Islamic solidarity among Muslim states in addition to promoting relations with Islamic organizations and centers abroad.

Pashazade is scheduled to deliver a speech during the event.

During the visit, Pashazade also will meet with Hajj Minister Fouad bin Abdulsalam Al-Farsi and Deputy Minister for Hajj Affairs Hatim bin Hassan Qadhi. They will discuss how to organize the Hajj pilgrimage this year.

They are expected to sign relevant protocol.
