HUSEYN JAVID’S JUBILEE MARKED IN TURKEY’S ISTANBUL UNIVERSITY
The 125th anniversary of the prominent Azerbaijani poet and thinker Huseyn Javid was celebrated in the Istanbul University’s “Guzel Senetler” Department in Turkey. At the event, held on the initiative of the “Turan Javid Women Center” Public Union and at support of Kazim Karabakir Pasha Foundation support, speaking was rector of the University, professor Mesut Parlak. He said that Huseyn Javid’s destiny was directly connected with Turkey. He also stated that Heseyn Javid studied Philosophy an Literature in this hall. Hayat Feyzioğlu, daughter of Kazim Karabakir Pasha spoke about the friendship of Huseyn Javid, Kazim Karabakir Pasha and Mustafa Kamal Ataturk. He stressed that Ataturk was delighted with Javid’s poems. Timsal Karabakir, Kazim Karabakir’s daughter spoke about her father’s cooperation with Javid, to protect Turks from bloodthirsty Armenians. She mentioned Azerbaijan’s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev’s initiative on the building of the Kazim Karabakir Mosque with particular gratitude and considered this a perfect example of the two nations’ fraternity. PhD and professor Kamran Aliyev valued celebration of Javid’s jubilee as a landmark event. Mahabbat Mehdiyeva, a representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation spoke about Heydar Aliyev’s love for Huseyn Javid’s heritage and family. She spoke about bringing of Huseyn Javid’s body from Siberia to Azerbaijan, opening his museum in Baku and temple in Nakhchivan under the leadership of Heydar Aliyev and his great care to Javid’s activity, literary heritage with gratitude. He also noted the order of Ilham Aliyev, Heydar Aliyev’s worthy successor on the celebration of Huseyn Javid’s 125th jubilee.
