Baku, 26 February (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan Diaspora has organized the action of protest at the Sergelstorg Square in Stockholm to mark the 17th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre, State Committee for Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad reported. Members of “Karabakh”, “In the Name of Azerbaijan”, “Prometheus”, “Odlar Yurdu”, “Azerbaijan Federation - Sweden” organizations took part in the open-air meeting, which started with the performance of Azerbaijan`s national anthem.

After Khojaly genocide victims were commemorated by a minute silence, attendees made reports on Khojaly tragedy in English and Swedish.

Swedish public organizations were given booklets featuring the massacre, perpetrated by the Armenian militants in the Azerbaijan town of Khojaly.

There was passed a resolution condemning the act of genocide in Khojaly. The resolution was sent to various international organizations on human rights.
