KNOWN RUSSIAN BUSINESSMAN HANDED OVER HIGHER AWARD OF ITALY

Moscow, 25 May (AZERTAC)). The famous Russian businessman, president of Crocus Grup Aras Agalarov has been awarded the higher award of Italy. In residence of the Embassy of Italy in Moscow Ambassador Claudio Vittorio Surdo has handed over to Aras Agalarov the higher award of the country — the Award “For merits before the Italian Republic”.

Aras Agalarov has received this Award for the notable contribution to history of economic relations between Russia and Italy. The head of Council of the Award is the president of Italy, and in different years it was awarded the first president of Russia Boris Yeltsin, businessman Vahid Alakbarov, film director Nikita Mikhalkov and others.

Ambassador of Italy noted special contribution of the businessman to strengthening of relations between the two countries. Having expressed gratitude to the Ambassador, Aras Agalarov, in turn, expressed gratitude for attention and high award.

At the solemn ceremony, also present were members of the family of Aras Agalarov, including his daughter-in-law Leyla Aliyeva, representatives of the Russian government, parliamentarians, men of art and culture, businessmen.
