KOICA Implementation Survey Team visits Azerbaijan
Baku, July 6 (AZERTAC). The Korean Implementation Survey Team organized by the Korea International Cooperation Agency visited Azerbaijan from July 1-5 for the purpose of working out the details of “The project for teachers’ Capacity Building and Establishment of Educational Information System”
During the visit, the team had a series of discussions with the Ministry of Education and other authorities regarding the desirable measures to implement the project successfully.
The objectives of the project are to improve the capacity of teachers and quality of education by establishing the online e-learning system for training of the teachers, increase the administration efficiency and the level of satisfaction of the citizens regarding the Ministry’s administration by computerizing the management structure of official documents and simultaneously contribute to the human resources of Azerbaijan teachers and government officials by sharing the know-how of Korean technology and development experience.
The Minister of Education Mikail Jabbarov and Resident Representative of KOICA Office in Azerbaijan Kim Eun-Suk had a meeting and discussed cooperative measures related to successful implementation of the project. The parties agreed to provide each other full support and cooperation during the implementation of the project.
The Implementation Survey Team made a series of discussions with the Ministry of Education and had relevant presentations about the project details, including e-learning systems for educators, e-document management system, e-service and etc.
The KOICA plans to provide a grant aid USD 6,000,000 for the Project, and the project duration is 3 years (2014-2016).
As a result of the implementation survey, the Minutes of Meeting of the Project “The project for teachers’ Capacity Building and Establishment of Educational Information System” between the KOICA and the MOE was signed on July 5, 2013.
