Malaysia presents its initiatives in sustainable urban development within Baku-hosted WUF13 VIDEO

“The Malaysian pavilion, dedicated to sustainable urban development, housing policy, and community engagement in urban planning processes, has launched at the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku,” said Mardiana Binti Mohd Salleh, representative of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government and Senior Executive of Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Cities and Community Well-being of Malaysia.
According to her, the Malaysian pavilion was organized by URBANICE Malaysia, which acts as the secretariat for the country's national exposition at the forum.
“The first dialogue session was held today with the participation of representatives of the International Islamic University of Malaysia, Al-Azhar University, as well as the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction. The discussions focus on the integration of cultural and social characteristics of different communities into the implementation of housing policy,” she added.
Today, the Malaysian pavilion’s program also includes a second dialogue session with the participation of universities and the official opening of the pavilion with the participation of Nga Kor Ming, the country’s Minister of Housing and Local Government.
