Serbian President: Our trade turnover with Azerbaijan should be five times higher than current level
Baku, May 17, AZERTAC
Economic ties between Azerbaijan and Serbia should be further expanded, said President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić during a business meeting with representatives of the Azerbaijani business community, held as part of his visit to Baku.
“I hope we will find new areas for cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan. Because just as there are no limits to the friendship between our countries, there should be no limits to our economic cooperation. I believe that our trade turnover should be five times higher than the current level, and I think we can achieve this,” he noted.
The Serbian President stated that Serbia, particularly its eastern region, has spa and mountain resorts with untouched nature, and that efforts are underway to attract Azerbaijani investors as part of mutually beneficial cooperation.
He also added that Serbian investors are interested in investing in Baku and other regions of Azerbaijan.
Emphasizing the development of friendly relations between the two countries, Aleksandar Vučić highlighted broad opportunities for expanding economic cooperation.
