Azerbaijan, Pakistan review issues on agenda for developing cooperation in energy sector

Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with Musadik Masood Malik, Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination of Pakistan on the sidelines of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku..
The sides emphasized that the brotherly and high political relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan have made a significant contribution to the development of cooperation in the energy sector.
They also reviewed issues on the agenda for developing cooperation with Pakistan in the energy sector.
The parties exchanged views on the development of electricity interconnectors connecting Azerbaijan with Europe, Türkiye, and Central Asia, as well as the Zangezur corridor, amid the growing demand for electricity and the strengthening of the strategic importance of energy sources and routes.
The meeting also addressed the events held within the "Baku Energy Week".
