Expert: Azerbaijan’s experience in implementing “smart city” and “smart village” projects can serve as an important example for many countries
Baku, May 21, AZERTAC
Azerbaijan’s experience in implementing “smart city” and “smart village” projects can serve as an important example for many countries around the world, Ole Pilgaard Stubdrup, a specialist in urban diplomacy and urban development at the Urban and Municipal Development Fund of the African Development Bank, said in an interview with AZERTAC.
According to him, countries and cities that demonstrate the effectiveness of new initiatives, innovative technologies, and modern approaches to urban development play an important role on the international stage.
The expert noted that Azerbaijan clearly demonstrates how cities can be transformed to become more ecological, comfortable, and livable.
He emphasized that while being in Azerbaijan, one can see how beautiful, functional, and well-organized a modern urban environment can be. He added that such experience serves as an inspiring and motivating example for many cities around the world.
