Special Representative of the President: 40 percent of the construction work of the Khankendi Railway and Bus Terminal Complex has been completed

“Ensuring the participation of citizens and specialists in the reconstruction and urban planning is one of the key principles. In decision-making processes, special importance is given to the principles of transparency and accountability,” said Elchin Yusubov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, during the event titled Post-conflict Urban Development: Restoring a Destroyed Identity and Rebuilding an Integrated Future, organized at the Azerbaijan pavilion within the framework of WUF13.
He noted that 71 families (302 people) returned to Khankendi, which was liberated from occupation, 857 families (3341 people) to Aghdara, and 1083 families (4510 people) to Khojaly.
“As part of the rail and bus terminal project, the design of the 28-kilometre Aghdam-Khankendi railway line has been completed by 90 percent and its construction by 51.1 percent. Under the same project, the design of the railway and bus terminal in Khankendi has also been completed by 90 percent, and its construction by 40 percent,” Elchin Yusubov emphasized.
