Turkish expert: WUF13 stands as an international platform for the future of humanity and its harmony with nature

The 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13), held in Baku, serves as an international platform for discussing not only urbanization processes, but also the future of humanity and its harmony with nature, said Refail Kasimbeyli, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Türkiye’s Eskişehir Technical University, in an interview with AZERTAC.
He emphasized that large-scale reconstruction efforts in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories represent one of the most important examples of modern urban planning concepts.
According to him, comprehensive development projects implemented in Fuzuli, Shusha, Khankendi, Zangilan, Lachin, Aghdam, and other districts are not only examples of urban renewal, but also of the revival of national memory and cultural heritage.
The professor noted that the “smart city” and “smart village” concepts bring a modern perspective to the reconstruction process in Garabagh and East Zangezur.
He expressed confidence that WUF13 will further strengthen Azerbaijan’s international reputation.
