MILLI MAJLIS VICE-SPEAKER MEETS HEAD OF TURKEY’S IGDIR MUNICIPALITY
First vice-speaker of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan Parliament) Ziyafat Asgarov met Thursday with head of Turkey’s Igdir municipality Nureddin Aras.
Asgarov praised Aras` contribution to the development of Turkey-Azerbaijan relations.
He said “Azerbaijan and Turkey are working together to deliver the truth about the Khojaly genocide to the world and expose Armenia`s aggressive and expansionist policy”. He underlined both Azerbaijan and Turkey must increase efforts towards bringing the realities of the so-called “Armenian genocide” to the world.
Asgarov said “best form of defense is attack and we must increase efforts to popularize our just course”.
Nureddin Aras praised Azerbaijan’s economic development.
He expressed regret over the fact some of Azerbaijani lands are under Armenian occupation, adding the Armenians are making imaginary “genocide” claims against his country as well.
He added the international community is well aware of the facts of Armenia`s aggression.
The head of Igdir municipality invited Azerbaijani officials to an event marking the Khojaly genocide in Berlin.
Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Kars Hasan Zeynalov was present at the meeting.
