Baku, March 18 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Commissioner for Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova has met with OSCE election experts Julian Peel Yates and Rumen Maleev.

Suleymanova informed the OSCE representatives about the preparatory work for the March 18 referendum in Azerbaijan.

She said ensuring the protection of the voting rights is amongst key priorities of the government. Suleymanova said the country had improved its electoral legislation to ensure holding of democratic and transparent elections, including referendum in Azerbaijan.

The OSCE representatives said their organization wants the Azerbaijan referendum to be held in free and democratic manner.
