Opening ceremony of 6th International Travel & Tourism Dynamics Congress held

The opening ceremony of the 6th International Travel & Tourism Dynamics Congress (ITTD25), under the theme "Cultural Heritage", was held with the joint organization of relevant faculties of Garabagh University, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, and Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University.
In his opening remarks, Rector Shahin Bayramov, emphasized the importance of the conference’s topic for the Karabakh region, noting that the implementation of highly qualified staff training in tourism, as well as the conduct of result-oriented research in this area are among the university's priorities.
The rector emphasized that every monument restored following the liberation of the lands, which have been under occupation for many years, and the revival of every village and city is also part of the process of reviving Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage and promoting it worldwide.
Describing tourism as one of the main driving forces of this process, Shahin Bayramov underlined that Karabakh is a region with distinct geographical features and a unique ecosystem, characterized by both unique flora and fauna.
Jeyhun Mammadov, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of Garabagh University, spoke about the sustainable development of the tourism sector of Azerbaijan, underlining the strategic importance of this sector for the national economy. He highlighted the Garabagh University’s essential role in developing the tourism potential of the liberated territories.
The conference, held in a hybrid format on May 16-18, will feature scientific presentations on cultural heritage and tourism in the Turkic world, cultural heritage preservation and sustainable tourism, digitalization of cultural heritage and virtual tourism, cultural heritage tourism and economic impacts, and shared gastronomic heritage in the Turkic world.
