An international conference entitled “Religion, peace and Olympic Ideal” wrapped up its activity on August 11 in Athens, AzerTAj correspondent was told at the State Committee to work with religious structures. Patriarch Bartholomew I and Government of Greece adopted a joint address urging the countries around the world to stop hostilities during Olympic Games and demonstrate devotion to Olympic principles and traditions.

Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan to work with religious structures, Prof. Rafig Aliyev supported the address.

Unanimously adopted address was sent to all the countries throughout the world.
