President Ilham Aliyev attends military officers graduation ceremony
Baku, June 25 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Supreme Commander-in-chief has today attended a 2012 graduation ceremony of officers from special military educational institutions held at the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Higher Miiltary School.
A guard of honor was lined up in honor of the Head of State.
Defense Minister Safar Abiyev and chief of the guard of honor greeted the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
Prior to the ceremony, the Head of State laid a wreath at national leader Heydar Aliyev`s monument.
The President familiarized himself with reconstruction and upgraded facilities at the Azerbaijan Higher Military School.
The President proceeded to the stadium, graduation venue.
Chief of the Higher Military School Mirzali Yusifov informed the President that the personnel has lined up for the graduation ceremony.
President Ilham Aliyev greeted graduates by saying “Salam, young officers”
A moment of silence was observed in memory of shahids and national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The ceremony was opened by Defense Minister Safar Abiyev.
The Supreme Commander-in-chief made his remarks at the ceremony.
Then, the President presented diplomas to cadets who graduated with honors. They also received gifts.
The Head of State handed over authorization to occupy flats to a group of officers. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief congratulated them and wished every success.
Diplomas to other graduates were presented by teachers.
With the military banner, cadets marched in front of the President in the reviewing stand.
President Ilham Aliyev said good-bye to graduates, cadets, servicemen and parents.
The ceremony was attended by Premier Artur Rasizade, Speaker of the Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov, Head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev, deputies Prime Minister, speaker, ministers, heads of committees and companies, members of the MIlli Majlis, ambassadors and general public.
