President Ilham Aliyev inaugurates newly constructed building of Chess School in Khachmaz
Khachmaz, September 23 (AZERTAC). President Ilham Aliyev today has inaugurated the Khachmaz Chess School here. The Azerbaijani President cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the chess school, and then toured it. The Head of State was told that the school was built in accordance with State program on chess development in Azerbaijan for 2009-2014, signed by the President Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The facility occupying a total area of 720 square meters, meets international standards. The two-storey building got greenery, fountain and modern lightning system.
The Head of State viewed photo stands reflecting care and attention of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to development of sports, in particular chess and chess players. The President also viewed competition hall, classrooms and computer room here. The school is provided with up-to-date equipments.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the work done here and gave certain recommendations.
