President Ilham Aliyev inspects reconstruction of Shamaky Astrophysical Observatory
Shamakhy, September 13 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today examined progress of reconstruction at the Nasireddin Tusi Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory.
Under the Head of State`s orders, the observatory received AZN8 mln to upgrade its facilities and carry out overhaul.
The Head of State got familiar with the museum of the observatory.
The Azerbaijani leader examined rebuilding work in the observatory`s Yusif Mammadaliyev residential area.
The Head of State first laid flowers at the bust to academician Yusif Mammadaliyev.
The facilities here include a five-storied residential building, postal office, medical center, kindergarten.
President Ilham Aliyev met with the staff of the observatory.
