PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV OFFERS INDEPENDENCE DAY GREETINGS TO GREEK COUNTERPART KAROLOS PAPOULIAS
Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulation to President of Greece Karolos Papoulias on his country`s Independence Day.
In his letter, the Azerbaijani leader characterized the two countries` relationship as developing in a wide range of areas. “My state visit to your country last month, our talks and documents signed between our countries` government bodies are a vivid evidence of this” President Ilham Aliyev said in his message.
The Head of State expressed confidence “our cooperation will be continued both on the bilateral level and within international and regional organizations, in particular in ensuring Europe`s energy security.”
President Ilham Aliyev invited his Greek counterpart to pay a visit to Azerbaijan, saying he believes “the visit will serve to expand and strengthen relations between our friendly countries and peoples.”
The Azerbaijani President also wished Karolos Papoulias “strong health and successes in your activities” and “the friendly people of Greece peace and prosperity.”
