President Ilham Aliyev opens new training base for FC Baki
Baku, September 8 (AZERTAC). President Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated a new training ground for FC Baki.
President of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan Rovnag Abdullayev praised the government`s attention to development of sports in the country.
Abdullayev said Azerbaijan hosts international sports tournaments.
The ground occupies a total area of 5 hectares. The complex includes 5 stadiums.
President Ilham Aliyev was informed that a stadium with artificial grass is the region`s biggest closed facility of this type.
The President was told the stadium covers a total area of 3375 square meters.
The facility is 75 meter in length, and 45 meter in width.
Then, the Head of State viewed the training ground`s press center.
President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with conditions provided for young footballers in the complex.
The facility has an administrative center, conference hall and canteen.
After viewing the complex, the President met with coaches and staff of FC Baki.
The Head of State was presented with the club`s keepsake.
