President Ilham Aliyev receives credentials of incoming French ambassador
Baku, July 4 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today accepted credentials of newly appointed ambassador of France Pascal Meunier.
The Ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the ambassador.
The Head of State said bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and France had rich history.
The Azerbaijani leader noted cooperation between the two countries was developing successfully.
President Ilham Aliyev said bilateral cooperation between the two countries was actively expanding.
The Head of State expressed confidence these relations would continue to strengthen.
The President noted bilateral relations were expanding in the economic field, in particular energy security one.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of the fact that a lot of French companies operate in Azerbaijan.
They discussed ways of settling the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Head of State reaffirmed Azerbaijan`s position on the settlement of the dispute.
They also discussed prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
President Ilham Aliyev wished the diplomat successes in his activity.
