PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES HEAD OF RUSSIAN BORDER GUARD SERVICE
Baku, April 24 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received First Deputy Director of the Russian Federation`s Federal Security Service, Head of the Border Guard Service, General of the Army Vladimir Yegorovich Pronichev.
Vladimir Pronichev stressed that Baku meeting of heads of frontier services of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran was based on the instructions given by Heads of States at the Teheran meeting in 2007, adding the meeting discussed the security in the Caspian region. He expressed confidence that friendly relationship between the Boarder Guard Service of Russia and State Frontier Service of Azerbaijan would continue to develop in the future.
The Head of State noted Azerbaijan-Russia bilateral relations are developing successfully in all areas including the frontier service one. President Ilham Aliyev pointed out the meeting of heads of Azerbaijani, Russian and Iranian frontier services in Baku provided a forum for bilateral and multilateral discussions.
