President Ilham Aliyev receives Thor Heyerdahl`s family members
Baku, October 28 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received here family members of prominent Norwegian traveler and scientist Thor Heyerdahl.
Speaking on behalf of the scientist`s family, Heyerdahl`s son recalled his father`s meetings with Azerbaijani people`s national leader Heydar Aliyev. He noted he had always heard kind words about Azerbaijan from his father.
The Head of State stressed importance of Heyerdahl`s great interest in Azerbaijan and his opinion about the country. President Ilham Aliyev pointed out that the visit of Thor Heyerdahl`s family to Azerbaijan provides good opportunity to take a closer look at the country.
