President of Azerbaijan inaugurates Nakhchivan cement plant
Nakhchivan, May 30 (AZERTAC). President Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated the Nakhchivan Cement Plant here in the frame of his visit to the Autonomous Republic.
After the Head of State was cheered by the people, he toured the workshops, inspected the production process, the stand of raw and ready products.
The President was informed about the re-development and construction works underway in Nakhchivan. Therefore, the new cement plant became so urgent and it was decided to build a new enterprise with 150,6 ha area in Kangarli district of the republic. As stated, the plant is one of the largest projects in the Autonomous Republic on investment amount.
Then, the President set the plant in motion, after which he toured the territory of enterprise which includes several warehouses, administrative and catering facilities, as well as power substation.
The plant has been built in accordance with modern standards and will contribute to development of construction sector in the Autonomous Republic.
The President was told that the plant with 800 tons of annual capacity will employ some 210 people permanently. The plant’s products will also be exported to foreign countries.
