SOCAR, BP discuss cooperation prospects

Baku, December 18 (AZERTAC). President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev has today met Robert Dudley, BP Chief Executive Officer.

The SOCAR President praised the productive and efficient activity of the subcommittee established under a decision of the Steering Committee for the development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields` block, both in London and in Baku, as well as preparation of short and long-term action plans.

Robert Dudley also hailed the work carried out over the past three months on the stabilization of production volumes at the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and thanked Azerbaijan for its assistance and support.

The BP CEO congratulated the Azerbaijani people as European Olympic Committees voted to hold first European Games in Baku in 2015. He also expressed his confidence that the first Olympic Games would be held successfully here.

Speaking about BP`s sending a high level management group to Baku, Abdullayev noted that the close cooperation and hard work of SOCAR, BP and other project participants creates confidence for stability in a short period of time.
