SOCAR launches two more filling stations in Georgia

Baku, December 20 (AZERTAC). The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has opened 2 more filling stations in Georgia.

According to the SOCAR, one of the modern filling stations was launched at Senaku region`s Teklati settlement. The other filling station opened in front of the customs terminal on Tbilisi-Rustavi highway is a combined multifunctional gas station.

The first high-tech and environmentally friendly gas compressor in Georgia produced by 'Galileo' and gas distribution poles were installed at the station by SOCAR.

"This compressor does not need a special compression building, as it is placed in a microblock, which is equipped with the latest fire prevention and safety technologies. The 'Goodwill' market, a fast food restaurant, currency exchange and other services will be provided to customers at the station. Car owners will also be able to use special service blocks," the company said.

SOCAR-Georgia Director Mahir Mammadov, officials of the SOCAR Energy Georgia LLC, as well as representatives of local executive bodies and mass media took part in the opening ceremonies of the gas stations.

SOCAR has 98 gas stations in Georgia and intends to increase this number to 100 by the end of 2012.
