Somali FM visits Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University

A delegation led by Abdisalam Abdi Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, visited the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) on July 25.
During the meeting, ASOIU Rector Associate Professor Rufat Azizov briefed the Somali minister on the university’s 105-year history, academic programs, and international partnerships.
The sides discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation between higher education institutions of Azerbaijan and Somalia. The Somali delegation expressed readiness to further develop bilateral academic collaboration and support joint initiatives in this field.
The delegation also toured the university’s History and Mineralogy Museums.
