Turkish Premier touched by Azerbaijani girl`s plea

Baku, April 23 (AZERTAC). Turkey`s Prime Minister has been touched by an emotional appeal by a nine-year-old Azerbaijani girl, who attended the 35th Day of Children in Ankara.

“I want that you and all of the world leaders protect the world, children and their smiles. The world is nicer with their smiles. Please protect the beauty!” Ayan Asadzade told Recep Tayyip Erdogan as he received the children who came from different parts of the world to the Turkish capital for the event.

The Turkish Prime Minister kissed the girl, who was dressed in full traditional Azerbaijani costume, and handed her a keepsake.

The moment has been in spotlight in Turkish newspapers and media.

Ayan Asadzade is a member of a dance band under Azerbaijan State Musical Theatre, and a 4th grade student of Baku Choreographic School.

She was among the children who met Turkish President Abdullah Gul as part of celebrative events in the Turkish capital.
