While visiting Nakhchivan, the Representatives of the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture learnt of the situation in the autonomous republic’s agrarian sector and exchanged views with their local colleagues on production of ecologically pure foodstuff.

A meeting entitled “Production of Ecologically Pure Foodstuff” took place at the Nakhchivan Teacher’s Institute. The purpose of the Turkish specialists’ visit is to learn of the agriculture system, management and lands properties in Nakhchivan.

Turkish specialists reported on the production of ecologically pure agricultural goods.

It was noted that during soviet time the over-fertilizing the lands with mineral and toxic substances resulted in lands pollution. This process had a negative impact on groundwater. However, after regaining its independence Azerbaijan put things in order in this sphere.

Turkish specialists gave recommendations to meeting participants and responded to their questions.
