UKRAINE PRESIDENT MEETS GUAM FOREIGN MINISTERS

Kiev, 27 February (AZERTAC). President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko received foreign ministers of GUAM member states who arrived in the Ukrainian capital to attend an inauguration of headquarters of the organization’s Secretariat.

Azerbaijani foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov attended the meeting.

President Yushchenko said all necessary conditions were created to ensure effective work of the GUAM Secretariat`s office in Kiev.

He also touched upon prospects for expanding cooperation among GUAM states in the fields of energy, transport and trade.
