Baku, 10 April (AZERTAC). After the meeting with staff of the Baku Slavic University, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko held a news-conference for the Ukrainian media representatives accompanying him during his official visit.

President Yushchenko highlighted on the foreign policy of his country, bilateral relations between Ukraine and Azerbaijan, emphasizing high level of political dialogue between two countries. He expressed satisfaction for dynamically increasing bilateral cooperation in the economic field.

Mr. Yushchenko informed on the signed documents, negotiations he carried out in Baku, noting special focus was given to energy cooperation. According to him, the current visit will give strong impetus to cementing of mutual trust between top officials and governments of two countries.
