US-AZERBAIJAN JOINT RESEARCH GROUP RECEIVES 17 GRANTS
Proper to the Azerbaijan- U.S. Bilateral Grants Program (BGP-II), the Azerbaijan National Science Foundation (ANSF), the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), and the U.S. Civilian Research & Development Foundation (CRDF) jointly allocated 17 grants for the USA-Azerbaijan joint research group.
Each grant averages US$40,000.
The overall goal of the 2-years program is to increase cooperation, support researches of civilians, mainly, professors who earlier worked in military sphere and to increase the level of education in Azerbaijan.
Thirty-two projects were presented for the competition, and winners were defined by a group of experts from the USA, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova and Azerbaijan.
Names of best projects will be placed on CRDF
