YAP DEPUTY CHAIRMAN MEETS MEMBERS OF YAP YOUTH UNION
Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), executive secretary and member of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan Parliament) Ali Ahmadov met with members of YAP Youth Union who attended the courses organized by US International Republican Institute (IRI), press service of the Party said.
Chairman of YAP Youth Union Ramil Hasanov spoke about the courses. He said the aim of the courses is to increase political knowledge of youth and popularize the party.
Such courses were held in Azerbaijan`s west, south, north-west regions, and soon they will be organized in north region.
Most active persons from the courses will visit the United States through the U.S. State Department.
The courses were attended by 125 youngsters, but only 60 of them passed on to the next stage.
The young people spoke about the importance of the courses.
Ahmadov underlined such courses gave the international organizations a fair idea about YAP and Azerbaijan and revealed youth`s potential.
Ahmadov said President Ilham Aliyev is taking actions to convert oil revenues into human capital. From this point of view, youth has much work to do in order to develop Azerbaijan intellectually.
