American Jewish Committee: We attach importance to developing relationship with Azerbaijan
Baku, March 3 (AZERTAC). Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee David Harris has said the organization puts emphasis on development of its relationship with Azerbaijan as he met chairman of the country`s State Committee for Diaspora Affairs in Baku.
Harris praised tolerance in Azerbaijan, saying representatives of various nations have been peacefully coexisting in the country. He also lauded respect towards the Jewish community in the country.
Harris praised relations between Washington and Baku as well as between Israel and Azerbaijan.
Chairman of the State Committee for Diaspora Affairs Nazim Ibrahimov said Azerbaijan maintained good relations with the American Jewish Committee.
He said Azerbaijan attached a particular importance to building close relations with all Jewish communities worldwide.
Ibrahimov particularly pointed to cooperation with the Jewish community in France.
