Baku, February 8 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan National Mine Action (ANAMA) cleared 685,261 sq. meters area of land from 6,902 Unexploded Ordnances (UXO) and mines in January.

Demining operations involved 425 deminers, 5 mechanical demining machines, 30 mine detection dogs.

To date, ANAMA has cleared 79, 386, 078 sq.m. of land, destroying 378,524 mines and UXOs.

Agency has carried demining operations in Tartar, Agdam, Goygol and Akstafa.
