ANAS Institute of Botany expands international relations
Baku, December 1 (AZERTAC). Director of the ANAS Institute of Botany, Prof. Dr. Valide Alizade met Christian Köberl, the director of the Vienna’s Museum of Natural History, and Ernst Vitek, the head of the museum`s Botany Department, within her visit to Austria.
The visit aimed to get acquainted with the herbarium fund and museum`s exhibits, as well as to discuss cooperation issues on saving biodiversity in the region.
The sides agreed on signing cooperation memorandum between the two organizations. The memo covers strengthening activity on saving biodiversity, organization of researches, preparation of new specialists and other important issues.
The meeting focused on the issues as implementation of joint projects, using Austrian innovative practice in establishment of the Azerbaijan Botany Museum, etc.
The parties expressed their confidence that the fruitful cooperation between that two organizations will continue furthermore.
