Azerbaijan and Turkey discuss cooperation in field of justice
Baku, February 4 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan’s minister of justice Fikret Mammadov on Monday met with the Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Joshgun.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijan Justice Ministry, the sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries in various areas, including the field of justice.
The minister briefed the Ambassador on the reforms conducted in Azerbaijan in the field of justice and judicial system. He stressed close cooperation exists between the Justice Ministry of Turkey and Azerbaijan’s Justice Ministry. According to the minister, Turkish specialists under the support of the Turkey’s Academy of Justice contributed to various trainings aimed at the development of justice system in the country.
The sides emphasized the role of the Azerbaijani and Turkish leaders in the development of relations between two countries in all spheres. The Ambassador highly valued reforms conducted in Azerbaijan in judicial and legal system and dwelled on the ASAN service created under the State Agency for Services to Citizens and Social Innovation under the Azerbaijani President.
The meeting also focused on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the sphere of justice, joint fight against corruption, e-services and other issues.
