Azerbaijan, Argentina keen in cooperation
Baku, July 27 (AZERTAC). President of Argentina Cristina Fernández de Kirchner received the visiting delegation of Azerbaijan led by foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
Mrs. Cristina Fernández de Kirchner expressed pleasure with the existing dynamic development of cooperation between the two states, noting her country is keen in boosting this cooperation. According to her, both countries have a developed economy which could lead to efficient mutual economic results.
Minister Mammadyarov conveyed greetings and best wishes of the Azerbaijani President to Mrs. Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, also handing over President Aliyev’s letter of invitation to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan.
President of Argentina in turn asked to extend her greetings and wishes to the Azerbaijani President, noting she accepted the invitation.
Azerbaijan’s foreign minister informed Mrs. Cristina Fernández de Kirchner on Azerbaijan’s economic successes last years, its strategy of development, its role in regional development and cooperation, rise of image and foreign policy priorities. The minister said Azerbaijan is keen in cooperation with the Latin America countries, noting special importance of Argentina for Azerbaijan. It is pertinent here to mention that the first diplomatic mission of Azerbaijan was opened just in Argentina. He expressed gratitude for making decision to open her country’s embassy in Baku.
Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and Elmar Mammadyarov had comprehensive discussions on bilateral cooperation, mutual visits, the goals of the would-be-set inter-governmental economic commissions and other issues.
