Azerbaijan attends "Silk Road Gourmet Carnival" Food Festival in Beijing VIDEO

Azerbaijan`s pavilion arranged as a part of the "Silk Road gourmet Carnival" Food Festival in Beijing has caused keen interest among visitors.
The event organized by Alliances of Silk Road Cities and International Gastronomy is joined by 14 countries, including Azerbaijan, as well as domestic and foreign companies.
Organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in China, the pavilion displayed various exhibits reflecting the national culture of Azerbaijan, including traditional costumes, various souvenirs, handicrafts, photos of Baku's historical and modern architecture, books and magazines. The pavilion also demonstrated samples of Azerbaijan national cuisine.
Following the official opening ceremony of the event, former Prime Minister of Italy Massimo D'Alema visited Azerbaijan’s pavilion. He was informed about exhibits on the history and culture of Azerbaijan. The guest tasted and liked Azerbaijani wine and compote.
Thousands of locals and foreign guests, including diplomats, representatives of Chinese food industry companies, Beijing residents visited the festival.
China's influential mass media, including Xinhua agency, Chinese Central Television (CCTV), China International Radio have widely reported about the Azerbaijani pavilion.
