AZERBAIJAN FM MEETS EU SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE FOR SOUTH CAUCASUS

Baku, May 19 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov today met here EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby.

According to press service of the Ministry, the parties discussed the current state of Azerbaijan-EU cooperation, results of Prague summit “Eastern partnership-Southern Corridor”, regional stability, energy security and other issues of mutual interest.

On the peace talks on settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Mr. Mammadyarov said the non-constructive position of Armenia protracts the resolution of the conflict, which may lead to exacerbation of the situation in the region.
